When Australia shut its borders in 2020, the country lost a vital source of qualified cyber talent desperately needed to address a widening cyber

skills gap.

With one talent tap turned off and a deluge of increasingly complex and sophisticated cyberattacks compromising Australia’s safety and economic stability, solutions were needed, urgently.

So we created Deloitte Cyber Academy, an exciting, inclusive one-of-a-kind program, co-designed by industry, education and government to fast-track students into a career in Australia’s cyber industry.

We’ve partnered with exceptional education providers to deliver a personally tailored, fully immersive and supportive educational experience at a choice of university or TAFE locations in NSW and Victoria.

There are thousands of cyber roles across Australia, and the world, needing skilled people. Deloitte Cyber Academy will develop a new generation of cyber talent, who will not only secure their own future, but also Australia’s.

The role of our industry partners is to commit to providing the job placements, enabling the Cyber Academy to develop and grow the cyber muscle for Australia.

We're looking for employers to be part of this exciting initiative to co-design the Cyber Academy with other government and industry partners. We want your input to create a new innovative work integrated model that provides students with the best technical, academic, and human skills required to be a cyber professional.
